Personnel Performance of the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness and Its Impact on Out-Patient Satisfaction at Community Health Center, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara Endang Dwipoespitosari1), Stephanus Manongga2), Ina Debora Ratu Ludji3) 1)Municipality Health Office, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara 2)Masters Program in Public Health, Nusa Cendana University, Kupang 3)Study Program in Nursing, School of Health Polytechnics, Ministry of Health, Kupang ABSTRACT Background: The integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI) is a comprehensive approach to child health, which has been adopted in Indonesia since 1997. Several studies have demonstrated the benefits of IMCI in improving the quality of child care services. Quality service improvement is expected to enhance patient satisfaction. This study aimed to the association examine the personnel performance of the integrated management of childhood illness and its impact on out-patient satisfaction at community health center, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. Subjects and Method: This was a cross sectional study conducted at 14 community health centers, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara on December 2015 to January 2016. A total sample of 110 personnels of the integrated management of childhood illness was selected for this study by total sampling. The dependent variable was the out-patient satisfaction. The independent variables were age, work period, knowledge, motivation, attitude, perception, personality, training, facilities, and leadership. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by a multiple logistic regression. Results: The out-patient satisfaction decreased with poor perception (OR= 0.05; 95% CI,= 0.01 to 0.60; p= 0.018) and lack of facilities (OR= 109.49; 95% CI= 6.23 to 1924.60; p= 0.001) Conclusion: The out-patient satisfaction decreases with poor perception and lack of facilities.
