Factors Affecting Female Early Marriage: A Systematic Review

Background: The main problem of early marriage among females rests in their decision making. Females often make hasty decision when they lack of reproductive health knowledge, which later on turns out to be wrong. This study aimed to systematically review the factors affecting female early marriage.

Subjects and Method: A systematic review was conducted by searching articles in 3 electronic databases, namely PubMed, Proquest, and Science Direct. The articles were collected by the period of 2013 to 2018. The articles were collected based on PRISMA flow diagram method.

Results: Five articles met the inclusion criteria and were reviewed in this study. These articles reported that low education and low income increased the risk of females making decision of early marriage.

Conclusion: The decision of female early marriage is affected by low education and low income.
