Maternal Readiness for Newborn Discharge in Mantrijeron Community Health Center, Yogyakarta

ABSTRACT

Background: Three delays in childbirth are commonly caused by late decision to refer, delay in arriving at a health care facility, and delay in getting adequate help. Pregnant women have to physically and mentally prepared for labor. This study aimed to describe maternal readiness for newborn discharge in Mantrijeron community health center, Yogyakarta.

Subjects and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted in in Mantrijeron community health center, Yogyakarta. A total of 50 pregnant women in trimester III was selected for this study. The data were collected using questionnaire and analyzed descriptively.

Results: 46 of 50 (92.0%) pregnant women were ready for newborn discharge in Mantrijeron community health center, Yogyakarta.

Conclusion: Most of the pregnant women show readiness for newborn discharge in Mantrijeron community health center, Yogyakarta
