Abstract

Background: Peer victimization is a physical, verbal or relational aggressive experience of negative or aggressive act by peers. The most severe manifestation of peer victimiza�tion is bullying, characterized by an asymmetric power relationship between bully and victim, which may be physical or psychological. Several studies had investigated the presence of various psychiatric symptoms in adolescents with peer bullying. This study aimed to estimate the effect of bullying on anxiety in adolescents.
