Abstract
Bcakground: Premenstrual syndrome is defined as the cyclical occurrence of various signs and symptoms beginning near or after ovulation and resolving soon after the commencement of menses. Epidemiological surveys have estimated that as many as 75% of reproductive-age women experience some symptoms attributed to the premenstrual phase of the menstrual cycle. This study aimed to determine the association between obesity and premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

Subjects and Method A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted by PICO element, i.e P= women aged 17-50 years, I= obesity, C= non-obesity, and O= pre-mens�trual syndrome. Literature search have been done by selected articles from Pubmed, Google Scholar, Springer Link, Clinical Key, and Proquest databases. Article selected using keywords and the Mesh method as follows \"obesity and premenstrual syndrome\", \"obesity and premenstrual syndrome and adjusted Odds Ratio\", \"obesity and pre�menstrual syndrome and study cross sectional\", \u201cobesity or premenstrual syndrome, \u201cobesity or premenstrual syndrome or adjusted odds ratio\", \"obesity or premenstrual syndrome or study cross sectional\". Articles were screened using PRISMA flow diagram and analyzed by Review Manager 5.3.
