Abstract
Background: The cornerstone of organizational productivity is job performance. It is an important factor in achieving organizational goals. When employees cannot work effectively, then clients, stakeholders, and patrons will feel that the organization is apa�thet�ic to their needs, and will seek services from elsewhere, including competitors. This study aimed to determine the association between knowledge in management and job per�formance among nurses.
Subjects and Method: This was cross-sectional study conducted at Islam Hospital Madiun, East Java. A random sample of 33 nurses of inpatient care, were selected for this study. The dependent variable was job performance. The independent variable was knowledge in management. The data were collected by questionnaire and observation. The association of the variables was analyzed using correlation coefficient.
Results: Job performance was positively and moderately correlated with knowledge in mana�gement (r=0.41; p=0.016) among nurses.
Conclusion: Job performance is positively and moderately correlated with knowledge in management among nurses. It implies that job performance can be improved by in�crea�sing knowledge in management.
